Varraux started skating at age 8 because she liked jumping. Her brothers Zachary and Geoffrey are also figure |
skaters. Varraux has competed in singles at the 2002 US Championships. Pelletier began skating at age 2 |
because his father plays hockey, his older sister skated, his aunt coached figure skating and many cousins and |
uncles played hockey. He also plays ice hockey. He admires the 2002 Olympic Pairs Champion David Pelletier of |
Canada, who has the same name. Pelletier quit skating during 11th and 12th grades to play hockey for his high |
school team. |
