| Marcoux comes from a skating family. Her mother and sister were figure skaters and her father played hockey. |
| Buntin began skating at age 10 in order to improve his skating skills for hockey. Marcoux/Buntin teamed up in |
| 2002 and won the first international competition they entered, the 2002 Nebelhorn Trophy. The couple changed |
| coaches in spring 2003 and moved to Richard Gauthier's group in Montreal. They almost quit skating following this |
| move due to financial problems and due to difficulties adapting to their new coaching situation. But they overcame |
| these problems to win the 2004 National title. |
