Siudek/Siudek are married to each other since spring 2000. He proposed at the closing banquet of the 2000 World
Championships. Dorota Siudek formerly competed under her maiden name Zagorska. Siudek/Siudek are
competing internationally in Championships since 1995 and were the first Polish pair skaters to medal at Worlds
when they won the bronze in 1999. Dorota Siudek also competed in singles, whereas Siudek has competed in
pairs internationally since 1989 with various partners and participated in 13 World Championships. The couple
moved to Canada in spring 2003 to train with Richard Gauthier. Dorota Siudek injured her shoulder in a fall at the
2004 Cup of Russia. The couple was forced to withdraw from the event and was unable to compete in the 2005
European Championships.
